Have you published a book?  If so, how can I get it.  I'm a student at Indiana University, Indiana USA studying web design.  If you have a book, I would be interested.

Hi Barbara. The WFDS book is almost complete. We're looking for a publisher, and also considering publishing the book ourselves through a digital service. Expect the book sometime in 2005.

I would like to start web design .. development.. i have  had graphic design experiance. Can you tell me the quickest and easiest way to reach my goal!

Malik, I think the best way to get into web design and development is to teach yourself, using resources from the web, and carefully-selected books.

If you have a pet project, a topic that you're passionate about, you'll have the motivation and focus you need to push you to find the information you need.

Online forums are a great resource. I can thoroughly recommend Cre8asite forums (at www.cre8asiteforums.com/). It's a very friendly and open community, with great depth of experience on lots of subjects.

As far as a plan for learning goes, I'd recommend learning these technologies:
- HTML and CSS (together!)
- Also learn about how to design for the web (it's different to general graphic design)
- If you're interested in building dynamic sites, you'll need to pick up something like ColdFusion or PHP, together with learning how to design and connect to databases.
- JavaScript may well be useful as you progress.

I'm happy to go through all this in more detail on the Cre8asite forums :-)

In my country, almost all the online site have poorly appearance. I just think I have known better about site design. I'd really like to build one site like you do so every people in my country know how to make design better. But, I have no MONEY! My plan is write a book about web design principles and send it to a publisher. But is it okay write a book about site design just because I think and I know that I've known better?
